Corporate Choirs

From a corporate perspective spiralling costs, low productivity and low job satisfaction lead to high employee turnover. High-intensity work environments, heavy workloads and financial pressure lead to thousands of stress-related WorkCover claims every year. With One Voice is a holistic new program offering the opportunity to build a harmonious employee community and improve your bottom line. It can also have the positive effect of reducing the risk of illness and improving the well-being of employees. And one of the big areas where it can return on the investment is in improving employee morale and engagement, creative leadership and resilience skills.

A recent estimate claims that when recruitment, training, specialist knowledge and productivity are considered, it can cost up to 200 percent of an employee's salary to replace a skilled position (2007 Vedior Asia Pacific Employment Trends survey). The ABS estimates Australia has a workforce of 10.1 million people.  Given that 18% of employees leave their jobs annually and with a conservative figure of 150 percent of an average salary of $55,660.80, the national cost of staff turnover to organisations is estimated in the order of $100 billion annually. 'To sing in a choir and open your heart and voice and hear such a big sound surround you is to feel embraced.  The magic of these experiences are transformational.  To sing is a life-affirming experience and to sing with a choir puts that feeling into stereo.  Do you want to feel joy?'
