What?

With One Voice programs aim to recognise each unique voice. The programs bridge social capital and assist migrants and others to develop a sense of belonging, new networks and employment pathways. Participants develop leadership potential, build self esteem, communication and creative skills. They also learn how to work as a team. When many diverse voices come together as "one voice" on a regular basis the outcomes are transformational.

Who?

Employees of all ages interested in singing with others - from corporations, government, etc. and offering opportunities for participation and/or providing assistance to less fortunate members of our society.

Why?

Our society is fragmented and we are losing our connection with other people and ability to communicate and express ourselves.  This is leading to a breakdown of fundamental human values, family, organisations and community and a rise in chronic ill health (obesity, diabetes etc.), mental illness, child abuse etc.

Our Stories

Who Would We Never Have Met?

What Does It Mean To Us?

This innovative progam integrates residents of the Collingwood, Fitzroy and Richmond housing estates with staff from Sofitel Melbourne, and other local businesses. The aim of this choir is not only to create a more cohesive society, but also to connect residents with potential employment opportunities that would usually be out of their reach. The effects of singing in a group like this will also encourage greater leadership and communication skills, raise self-esteem and self-efficacy. Click here to download the flier, or here to download a registration form to join the choir.

"I found the With One Voice workshop fascinating because I didn’t realise that some of my colleagues could sing (neither did they!) And I loved the experience of being immersed in harmonious sound." Thiess Services participant

"Jess, I (and our neighbour Claire) are all thoroughly enjoying the experience of Geelong Sings. It has offered me a chance to do something with my daughter that we both enjoy. Having a child with autism is not easy and it can be difficult to find things in common that you can experience together so THANKYOU from us." Kym Walker
